The increase in common social wealth is perceived by Smart Continent as integrated when there is improvement in education quality, increasing employment, and breaking stigmas. Gender and racial equality, more and better paid jobs, resilience of society against hate, violence, fake information and propaganda are crucial for building society ready to face challenges that brings the 21st Century. Smart Continent work on all domains of strengthening society and democracy that could deal well with cultural differences and other diversities.
Comprehensive equality
Smart Continent work in area of equality by challenging stigmas and analysing factors that change behaviour in various cultures. We are serving clients locally however European Commission Horizon Europe funded project TINNGO was significant shift into intercultural dimension in gender quality domain.
Building smart and resilient society
We participate actively in research and innovation projects as well as in coordination and support actions in Horizon 2020. In area of social policy research we focus on inclusive, innovative and reflective societies. Our key focus area is socioeconomic transformations in Europe, migration of labour and improvement of education as well as long-life learning which is the core of ageing society. We work closely with local public authorities by transferring knowledge and experience from more developed regions. We shape solutions and tools which in efficient manner helps to improve balance of socioeconomic indicators across Europe. Our goal match the EU aim to foster a greater understanding of Europe, provide solutions, and support inclusive, innovative and reflective European societies in a context of unprecedented transformations and growing global interdependencies. Our current Horizon Europe project CO-SECURE aims to improve citizens’ security perception and behaviour in public spaces, especially at large events and crowded areas, by actively engaging them to co-create innovative security solutions. CO-SECUR is a call to redefine security, not just as a physical necessity but as a shared perception rooted in citizen engagement and responsible innovation.
